Back then, in a small city called Jerusalem, a special occasion was approaching. Jesus, a wise and loving man, had spent much time teaching his disciples and the people about God's love and how to live a life full of kindness and compassion.

That night, Jesus and his friends, the disciples, gathered in a house to celebrate a very important dinner. The dinner was known as the Passover, a special festival that commemorated how God had freed the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt.

While at dinner, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." He then took a cup of wine, blessed it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you."

Jesus was telling them that the bread and wine represented his body and blood, and that through them, they would always remember the love and sacrifice he was about to make for them and for all humanity.

After dinner, Jesus and his disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. Jesus knew that his hour was approaching and that he would face difficult moments, but he trusted in God's plan.

That night, Judas Iscariot, one of the disciples, betrayed Jesus and handed him over to the authorities. Jesus was arrested, tried, and crucified on a cross the next day. It was a sad and painful moment, but Jesus had shared the Last Supper with his disciples to remind them that his love and sacrifice would bring salvation to all.
