At a point in history when Jesus walked with us, there lived a man named Peter. Peter was one of Jesus' closest disciples and followed him everywhere. Often, Peter and the other disciples learned special lessons from their beloved teacher, Jesus.

One day, Jesus and his disciples arrived at a village by the lake. Jesus knew it was time to pay the Temple tax, an amount of money that everyone had to give. But they had no money at that moment, and Jesus gave them a special task.

"Go to the lake," Jesus said to Peter, "and cast your line. The first fish you catch will have a coin in its mouth. Take that coin and pay the tax for you and me."

Peter was surprised at this strange request but trusted Jesus and obeyed. He went to the lake with his fishing rod and cast the line into the water. He waited patiently, and shortly after, he felt a tug on his rod. When he pulled the fish out of the water, he found a coin in its mouth, just as Jesus had said!

Filled with amazement and gratitude, Peter took the coin and went to pay the Temple tax, as Jesus had instructed him. The task that seemed impossible had been fulfilled thanks to faith and trust in Jesus' words.

Peter returned to Jesus and shared the incredible story of how he had found the coin in the fish's mouth. Jesus smiled and reminded his disciples that God will always provide in surprising and wonderful ways.
