Once upon a time in the city of Jaffa, there was a woman named Dorcas. Dorcas was known for her love and kindness towards others. She was always ready to help the needy and care for the poor.

Dorcas had a special talent for sewing and making beautiful clothing. She spent her time making tunics and garments for those in need in her community. Not only were they practical, but they were also beautiful and filled with love. People loved her dearly for her generosity and kindness.

One day, Dorcas fell seriously ill and died. The news of her death quickly spread throughout the community, and everyone was filled with sorrow. People began to gather at her house to mourn the loss of their friend and benefactor.

While they were there, someone mentioned that Peter, a follower of Jesus, was in the nearby city of Lydda, not far from Jaffa. They had heard of the miracles that Peter had performed in the name of Jesus. They decided to send two men to fetch Peter and ask him to come.

When Peter arrived at Dorcas's house, he saw people weeping and showing him the beautiful garments that Dorcas had made for them. Peter asked them to leave the room and stayed alone with Dorcas's body. He knelt down and prayed silently.

After praying, Peter turned to Dorcas's body and said, "Dorcas, arise." And something amazing happened. Dorcas opened her eyes and got up from the bed, alive and well. The people outside were amazed and filled with joy to see Dorcas alive again.

Dorcas embraced Peter with gratitude and amazement. She was happy to be back with her loved ones and to continue her work of love and kindness. The news of her resurrection spread throughout the city, and people believed in the power of Jesus to perform miracles.
