Once upon a time, there was a man named Saul who lived in Jerusalem. Saul was a very intelligent and devout man, but he had a misguided belief. He thought that the followers of Jesus were wrong and needed to be stopped.

One day, as Saul was on his way to the city of Damascus with the intention of arresting the followers of Jesus, something extraordinary happened. He was on the road under the bright midday sun when suddenly a bright light from the sky surrounded him. Saul fell to the ground, completely surprised and frightened.

Then, a voice resonated from the sky, a kind and powerful voice that said, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" Saul, still on the ground and trembling, responded, "Who are you, Lord?" And the voice said to him, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting."

Saul was amazed and astonished. He had been wrong all along. Jesus was the Son of God, and he had been persecuting and harming his followers. Saul realized his mistake and felt deep remorse in his heart.

Then, Jesus told Saul to get up and go to the city of Damascus, where he would receive further instructions. When Saul got up, he realized he was blind, he couldn't see anything. His friends took him to Damascus, where he waited, fasted, and prayed.

In the city, a man named Ananias had a vision in which God told him to go to Saul's house and pray for him. Ananias felt afraid at first because he knew Saul was known for persecuting the followers of Jesus. But he obeyed the voice of God and went to Saul's house.

When Ananias arrived and laid hands on Saul, something amazing happened. Saul regained his sight, like scales falling from his eyes. He got up, looked at Ananias, and said, "I have regained my sight thanks to you and to God."

Saul had been completely transformed. He was now a follower of Jesus and, instead of persecuting believers, he shared the message of Jesus's love with the whole world. He changed his name to Paul and became one of the most important apostles in the expansion of Christianity.
