Once upon a time, there was a group of men and women who were friends of Jesus. After Jesus ascended into heaven, they stayed in Jerusalem, waiting for what Jesus had promised them: the gift of the Holy Spirit.

They spent ten days together, praying and remembering the teachings of Jesus. They were excited but also a little nervous because they didn't know exactly what to expect. They knew that Jesus had told them that the Holy Spirit would come upon them with power.

On the tenth day, something amazing happened. They were all together in a room, and suddenly, they heard a strong wind that filled the house. It wasn't an ordinary wind but a special wind that came directly from God.

Then, they saw what looked like tongues of fire resting on their heads. It didn't burn them, but it filled them with a special warmth and indescribable joy. And then, something incredible happened: they all began to speak in different languages, languages they had never known before.

Outside the house, there were many people from different parts of the world who had come to Jerusalem for a festival called Pentecost. When they heard the noise, they approached and were amazed to hear the disciples speaking in their own native languages.

Some said, "Look, these men are speaking in our language!" Others were astonished and wondered what was happening.

Then, one of the disciples named Peter stood up and courageously spoke to the crowd. He explained that what they were seeing and hearing was a special gift from God: the Holy Spirit. Peter spoke to them about Jesus, his love, and his sacrifice for all of us.

Many people in the crowd were deeply moved by Peter's words and believed in Jesus in their hearts. It was a day of great joy and transformation. More than three thousand people joined the community of believers that day.

The Holy Spirit had come to guide, strengthen, and empower the followers of Jesus. It gave them the courage to share the message of love and salvation with the whole world.
