Once upon a time, there was a man who lived on a small farm in the countryside. He loved to sow seeds and tend to his garden. He had a sack full of different seeds: some were of wheat, others of corn, some of beautiful flowers, and others of fruit trees.
\n\n
One day, he decided to go out and sow his seeds in the field. He took his sack full of seeds and began to scatter them on the ground. But as he scattered the seeds, some fell on the path, where the soil was hard and compact.
\n\n
The seeds on the path could not sink into the ground, and the birds came and picked them up. He continued sowing, and some seeds fell on rocky ground, where the soil was shallow and had no sufficient earth to grow.
\n\n
The seeds in the rocky ground sprouted quickly, but since they had no deep roots, they withered under the hot sun. Other seeds fell among thorns, which were plants that grew rapidly and choked the seeds.
\n\n
But some seeds fell on good soil, fertile and loose soil. Those seeds grew strong and healthy, yielding an abundant harvest. He was happy to see his plants grow and bear fruit.
\n\n
After sowing all the seeds, he sat under a tree and remembered the words of Jesus. Jesus had told a similar story about a sower and the different kinds of soil the seeds fell on. He had told the people that the seeds represented the word of God and that the type of soil represented people's hearts.
\n\n
Some people have hearts as hard as the path, and the word of God cannot enter them. Others are like the rocky ground, receiving the word of God with joy, but when they face difficulties, they abandon it. There are also people who are like the soil among the thorns, where the worries of the world choke the word of God.
\n\n
But those who have good hearts, like the good soil, receive the word of God, nurture it, and let it grow in their lives, producing fruits of love, kindness, and compassion.
