6 Moses and the Burning Bush (Exodus 3)

Long ago, in a distant land called Egypt, there lived a man named Moses. Moses was a kind and brave man who loved his people, the Israelites, who were slaves in Egypt. Moses also believed in God with all his heart.

One day, while Moses was tending his father-in-law's sheep in the desert, he saw something extraordinary. In the distance, he saw a bright light and a bush that was burning but not consumed. Moses felt intrigued and decided to approach to see what was happening.

As Moses approached the burning bush, he heard a soft voice coming from inside the bush. The voice said, "Moses, Moses, come closer." Moses felt amazed and approached with reverence. The voice said to him, "I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

Moses knelt in the presence of God and said, "Lord, here I am. What do you want from me?" God spoke to him tenderly and said, "I have seen the affliction of my people in Egypt. I want you to go to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and tell him to let my people go so that they may worship me freely in their own land."

Moses was amazed and concerned. He did not know how to speak to Pharaoh or how to lead his people. But God gave him the strength and wisdom he needed. God also promised him that He would be with him every step of the way.

Moses returned to Egypt and spoke to Pharaoh, asking him to release the Israelites. Although he faced many challenges and difficulties, he never lost faith in God. With God's help, Moses led his people out of Egypt, through the desert, and into the promised land.
