40 The Sermon on the Mount of the Beatitudes by Jesus (Matthew 5-7)

Once upon a time, on a sunny day on a beautiful green hill, people gathered there because they had heard that Jesus, a wise and loving man, was going to speak to them. The hill was filled with men, women, and children, all eager to hear the words of Jesus.

Jesus sat on a large stone and began to speak. He looked at the crowd and smiled. He said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." The people looked at each other in surprise. What did Jesus mean by that?
\n\n
Jesus continued, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy."
\n\n
Jesus' words were different from what the people expected. He did not speak of wealth or power but of things like humility, compassion, and justice. He explained that those who live according to these teachings will find happiness and be blessed by God.
\n\n
Jesus continued, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
\n\n
The people listened attentively, feeling that Jesus' words touched their hearts. Jesus taught them to love their neighbors, to forgive those who hurt them, and to live lives of kindness and truth.
\n\n
Jesus concluded his speech by saying, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."
\n\n
The people were inspired by Jesus' words and applauded with joy. They understood that, to be happy and find God's love, they must live with love and kindness toward others.
