31 The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15)

A long time ago, in a distant land, there lived a father with two sons. The older son felt responsible, and the younger son was more adventurous. The father loved his sons very much and worked hard on his farm to ensure they had everything they needed.

One day, the younger son felt the urge to explore the world and experience life on his own. He approached his father and said, "Father, I would like to have my share of the inheritance now, so I can see the world and do as I please."
\n\n
The father, though saddened by his son's decision, understood his desire for independence. So he gave his son his share of the inheritance. The younger son packed his things and went to a distant land.
\n\n
There, the younger son spent all his money on parties and fun. But soon, a great famine struck the land, and the younger son found himself without money and without friends. No one was willing to help him, and he was forced to work in a field feeding pigs. He was so hungry that he wished to eat the pigs' food, but no one gave him anything.

Meanwhile, at his father's house, the older son worked hard on the farm and took care of the family. One day, the father received news that his younger son was in trouble. Despite the younger son having done many wrong things, his father loved him deeply and wanted him to come back home.

The father decided to send a servant to look for his younger son. When the younger son saw the servant, he felt ashamed and repentant of his actions. He knew he had made a mistake and that his home would be much better than the place he was in.
\n\n
The younger son returned home, expecting his father to reject or punish him. But when he arrived, his father saw him from afar and ran toward him. He embraced him with love and joy and told his servants to bring the best clothes and a ring for him.
\n\n
The father organized a great feast to celebrate the return of his lost son. The older son was confused and a little upset. He wondered why his father was so happy to see his brother back after all he had done.
\n\n
But his father explained, "Your brother was lost and has been found. He was dead to us, but now he is alive again." The father understood that the most important thing was to show love and forgiveness, even when someone made mistakes.
