11 Daniel and the Den of Lions (Daniel 6)

This beautiful true story was written in the Bible and it goes like this: in a faraway land, there lived a man named Daniel. Daniel was a wise and good man who loved God with all his heart. He was known for his honesty and bravery.
\n\n
One day, the king of that land, named Darius, chose Daniel as one of his chief advisers. Daniel was so trustworthy and wise that the king relied on him to rule with justice. This made other advisers jealous of Daniel and they began to seek a way to bring him down.
\n\n
The evil advisers knew that Daniel loved God above all else, and they plotted a plan to trap him. They went to King Darius and said, "Oh great king, you should issue a decree that forbids worshiping any god or person except you for thirty days. Whoever does so shall be thrown into the den of lions."
\n\n
The king, unaware of his advisers' ill intentions, agreed and issued the decree. When Daniel heard of this, he continued worshiping God as he had always done, even knowing that he might face serious consequences.
\n\n
The evil advisers hurried to inform the king that Daniel was worshiping God instead of obeying the decree. The king was trapped by his own decree and felt very sad, for he knew that Daniel was a righteous man.
\n\n
Despite his sadness, the king ordered that Daniel be thrown into the den of lions, as he had made the decree and could not change it. Daniel was lowered into the den, and the king sealed the entrance with a large stone and a royal seal.
\n\n
But God was with Daniel in the den of lions. He sent his angel to shut the mouths of the lions so that they would not harm him. Daniel spent the night in the den of lions unharmed.
\n\n
At dawn, the king rushed to the den and asked for the stone to be removed. When he looked inside, he saw Daniel safe and sound. The king was filled with joy and gratitude to God for protecting his faithful servant.
\n\n
The king had Daniel taken out of the den and then punished the evil advisers who had plotted the plan to trap him. Daniel continued to serve the king with honor and continued to worship God with gratitude.
